Each year the Tonbridge Lacemakers Committee challenge their members to make a piece of Lace on a given subject.
In 2014 the challenge was to make a piece of Lace to be mounted on a pennant. The pennants were then sewn together to form bunting to be displayed at Fairs, Exibitions and at the venues where we are demonstrating.
There was an outstanding response to this challenge, as you can see below. The banner, which was unveiled at the Lace Fair, is currently 66 pennants long. There is still interest within the group so, as the saying goes, ‘watch this space’.
A big Thank You to all who contributed.
Ann Corson won The Challenge with this piece.
